The November 3, 2020 General Election will be held primarily by mail-in ballot in accordance with P.L. 2020, c. 72 as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Voters who prefer to vote in person on Election Day can bring their mail-in ballot to their assigned polling place and place it directly in a ballot box. Each active registered voter should have received a post card in the mail, no later than October 23rd, informing them of their designated polling place for the Nov. 3rd Presidential Election. If you did not receive a postcard or are still unsure please contact the Sussex County Board of Elections at (973) 579-0950.
Hardyston Polling Locations –
Hardyston #1 Firehouse – 7 Colson Terrace, Stockholm
Hardyston Municipal Building – 149 Wheatsworth Road, Hardyston
Please note, only voters with a disability will be permitted to use an in-person accessible voting machine on Election Day. If you go to the polls to vote in person but do not bring your mail-in ballot you will be given a Paper Provisional Ballot. Provisional ballots are counted only after the deadline to accept and count mail-in ballots (1-2 wks after Election Day). Voters will receive a postcard in the mail the last week of October advising them of their designated polling location.
