Smoke
Detector/Carbon Monoxide Inspections
Inspections
are good for 90 days and must be done prior to closing - no
exceptions. A $500.00 fine for no certificate will be levied.
Inspection
fees as follows:
$35.00 - More than 10 business days prior to closing;
$70.00 - 4-10 business days prior to closing; and
$125.00 - less than 4 business days prior to closing.
Blasting
Permits
The
fee for a blasting permit is $42.00. An updated copy of Certificate
of Liability Insurance must be provided along with a copy
of the license.
Bonfire
Permits
Are available upon request. Open Burning Permits are available
at the Department of Forestry located at 240 Main Street,
Andover, NJ 07821. Please contact 973-786-6350 for information.
Applications
for both Smoke Detector/Carbon Monoxide Inspections and Blasting
Permits are available at the Municipal Building.
Please
report any fire violations to the Fire Prevention Bureau so
we may gain compliance from the owner and keep our town safe.
