Finance and Tax Collection are one of several municipal departments shared by the Township of Hardyston and the Borough of Franklin. The joint Tax Collection Office was established in July 2000 while the Joint Finance Office was established in January 2001. In addition to the investment of Township funds, the Chief Finance Officer is also responsible for payment of Township vendors through the purchasing process and for Township payroll. The Tax Collector is responsible for the mailing of tax bills and subsequent collection of funds. The Collector is also responsible for maintaining and monitoring list of delinquent accounts and for the annual sale of tax title liens.
